This version of the Wii Menu updated Channels to now display data gathered by WiiConnect24 (Forecast, News). A clock display was also added. The Wii Message Board button will now flash when a message arrives. You can now rearrange the order of your Wii Friends in the address book, and scroll message text by pressing the B button on the message screen.

- The "MEM1 patch" changes the instruction MEM1 mapping from 64MB to 32MB, and prevents MEM2 from being mapped in the instruction area. This was most likely a response to the discovery of some browser bugs in 2007 that could lead to exploits.
- The "MEM2 patch" leaves the IC_ADR and IC_CSR clear, and clears spr235/spr234/spr237/spr236 instead of setting spr23b and DC_DAT.
- The weather forecast for your selected region will now be displayed on the Forecast Channel icon in the Wii Menu.
- Headline news will now be displayed on the News Channel icon in the Wii Menu.
- The current time will now be displayed in the Wii Menu.
- The area around the Wii Message Board button will now flash when a message arrives.
- You're now able to rearrange the order of your Wii Friends in the address book.
- You're now able to go into the Wii Friends registration screen by pressing the A Button on a blank spot in the address book.
- Envelope message icons will now appear on the calendar only on the dates when a message is received.

- Updated IOS30 and IOS31 to v1039
- Updated IOS15 and IOS21 one minor version each, which has identical Starlet code to the version before the one released in rev01, no NAND Boot Program, and a newer build tag. This was probably because it was causing compatibility issues with some games.
