November 19, 2006 (rev01)
- Added considerable functionality missing from original-launch Wiis, including SD card support, Parental Controls, and two other options (Country Settings and System Update). The Wii Menu design was also changed, and channels could be rearranged on the menu.
November 30, 2006 (rev02)
- Fixed exploits in the Wii Shop Channel
December 19, 2006 (rev03)
- Activated the functionality of the Forecast Channel, as data had not been sent to it before this point.
Remarks
If you have a System Menu below 3.2 and wish to upgrade, use AnyRegion Changer to update to 3.2.
WARNING: Be advised that if your system is shipped with 4.0 preinstalled, you can not downgrade and will brick your console.
If you have a System Menu above 3.2 and wish to downgrade, AnyRegion Changer can do this too, and it appears to do a more thorough job than some other tools. See WiiBrew:FAQ#Downgrading?.
