Description

MAME4Wii is an Arcade Emulator based on MAME Wii.
Many games for early arcade boards can be played with varying amounts of success.
This version is based on official mame version 0.135 (with some fix from 0.136) so you need ROMS from that version. I put a collection on archive.org (search mame4wii).
ROMS must be copied in sd:/mame/roms (Leave them zipped!!!).
The app has three parts: a main menu, a loader and multiple dol of mame tailored to play groups of games.

Installation

Unzip the archive on your SD.
Will be create the folder mame4wii in sd:/apps and the folder mame directly in sd:/.
Roms must be added in sd:/mame/roms.
You can download the archive mame4wii_snap.zip to add the screen shots of the games. The archive must be unzipped in sd:/mame/snap.

Changes on mame sources

• Cut off code for screenshot and video recording
• Cut off save of game settings
• Cut off debug
• Cut off cheat

Changes on wii mame sources

• Fix video driver to play asteroids, asteroids deluxe, battle zone...
• Fix input driver for use of wiimote only
• Some other changes...

Knowing Bugs

• a lot, but this is my best version :)
  
• NOT ALL LISTED GAMES WORKS!!! If the loader return to the menu, than the game is (probably) too big for the Wii. You can found infos into the log files in sd:/mame/logs.
