Bannerbomb ist ein Exploit mit dem man Homebrew-Anwendungen installieren kann. Er wurde von Comex entwickelt, um den alten Twillight Hack zu ersetzen, der nicht kompatibel mit Wii-Firmware 4.0 war. Bannerbomb funktioniert bis FW 4.2.

NOTE: Diese Version von dem Bannerbomb Exploit funktioniert nicht mit System Menu 4.2, sondern nur bis 4.1. Diese Version ist erschienen und funktioniert auch mit FW 4.2. Keine Version funktioniert mit FW 4.3; benutze Letterbomb oder einen Game-Exploit.

Durchführung

Was du brauchst

Eine SD-Karte (oder SDHC-Karte, funktioniert aber nur ab FW 4.0) als FAT oder FAT16 oder FAT32 formatiert
Ein PC mit SD-Karten-Leser
Bannerbomb auf der SD-Karte
Eine Homebrew-Anwendung zum Installieren
Eine Wii mit FW 4.0, 4.1 oder 4.2 (kein 4.3!!!)

Anleitung

Stelle sicher, dass kein "private"-Ordner auf der Karte vorhanden ist
Kopiere den "private" Ordner von dem heruntergeladenen Bannerbomb-Ordner in die Karte
Kopiere die "boot.dol" oder "boot.elf" aus deiner Homebrew-Anwendung in deine Karte
Stecke die SD in die Wii und schalte sie an
- Bei Bannerbomb v1: Auf das Wii-Symbol --> Datenverwaltung (oder so ähnlich) --> Kanäle --> SD-Karte.
- Bei Bannerbomb v2: Einfach auf das SD-Symbol gehen
Eine Nachricht wird angezeigt, ob die "boot.elf" oder "boot.dool" geladen werden soll. Wenn die Wii abstürzt oder die Nachricht nicht angezeigt wird, download eine andere Datei von der Bannerbomb Website und mache diese Anleitung nochmal.
Nun wird deine Homebrew-Anwendung gestartet.

If your Wii freezes while trying to use Bannerbomb, follow these diagnostics:

Repeat the procedure with the same version once or twice. It can be fickle.
Make sure you're not trying to use the SD Menu on System Menu 4.0 (the little blue SD card button in the lower left).
Check that you pressed the Channels button in Data Management.
Make sure that Bannerbomb is the only channel on the SD card.
Try a different version of Bannerbomb. Most people should be able to use the recommended version of BannerBomb given, but some might need another version.
Eject the SD card, go into the channels menu, then on SD where it says no SD card is inserted, then insert the card (works for Toshiba 256MB cards and Menu 4.0E at least)

Bugs auf Englisch

If it gives you the dialog but freezes instead of loading the dol, email Comex ( comexk @ gmail dot com ). Tell him where it froze and whether or not the slot light is on. You might also try removing the disc.
If you press "no" when it asks you whether you want to load a dol then it might freeze.
It is possible to press the back button "under" the dialog.
