:::GeeXboX (other than most other Homebrew applications) runs under Wii Linux and not natively as a Wii application. Therefore, a completely different network stack is used (i.e. the Linux stack). Consequently, Wii Linux requires its own drivers for system periphals of the Wii console. Unfortunately, there is no driver available for the internal Wifi card at the moment! Those Wifi settings you see are therefore meaningless. What works with GeeXboX are USB-Ethernet adapters. In fact, GeeXboX even supports a larger number of USB-Ethernet adapters than the Wii itself does! I have one very cheap one "KH-886" which does not work for the Wii operating system but does work in Wii Linux (and GeeXboX). So, for the moment you need a USB adapter or need to wait for driver support... - to.rben 18:27, 24 January 2009 (UTC) | :::GeeXboX (other than most other Homebrew applications) runs under Wii Linux and not natively as a Wii application.
