Miscellaneous
thank God someone is finally making a web browser for homebrew! The one made by opera sucks! I would like to offer suggestions for this. =) (I know nothing about programming outside of TI-basic, so no suggestions on the actual programming, at least for now) Toagac
Alright, i'm writing this on the crude internet browser made by opera. perhaps have a better keyboard. The phone style entry is much better then the keyboard. (you would need to have a word dictionary to make it worthwhile though. I don't know if I mentioned this yet but you should make it so it easy for you to update the flash/Java =) And now my hand hurts from typing this long message. (gotta get a USB keyboard...
Btw I'm trying to learn a programming language. What should I choose?Toagac 20:51, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
OK. I've started learning C++ but i cant figure out how to compile somthing for wii with the DevKitPro, so if you could help...I really need a total idiots guide to set it up probably, seeing as how I really, really stink at setting up compilers =( Toagac 20:00, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
Ok give suggestions, every hint helps! WiiCracker
I'm more than happy to help with the Artwork/Design, but I can't help with the coding. Contact me at Azza-123[at]live[dot]com
Logo for WiiSurf
I created a Logo for WiiSurf! here it is :
Enjoy!
Informations about "WiiSurf"
- Which rendering library you want to use ? (webkit, gecko, an homemade lib.)
- Have you already started to write it ?
- Do you plan to release it in several languages ?
Like Toagac, I don't know anything about programming (excepted PHP ;).
Thanks! --Terloup2 06:31, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
You should port the Chromium to the Wii, and add some modifications to fit to Wii(it's more simple than write yourself the complete core of the program) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Adolf1994 (talk • contribs) 10:46, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
Aswer to Terloup2

- 3 Im plannning this languages: English, German and later French. You could help to translate!
Aswer To Toagac
I think c or c++ are good choices!
Do you need help for WiiSurf?
I can try and help you with WiiSurf (I was going to make a browser called WiiSurf but you had already started), I have some experience in C and C++. I had a look at some rendering engines we could use but I can't really find anything that I can port over to the Wii, if you have just tell me. Then there is another problem: if we make our own rendering engine how do we implement Flash and other addons, even if we don't use our own rendering engine we still need a way to implement Flash.
If you want to contact me either email me (NOSPAMadmin[at]websinch[dot]com -remove NOSPAM ;)) or contact me through my website (http://websinch.com/forum/)

Great Idea
This is an awsome idea! I can't wait to see an actual 'Homebrew web browser!'
This is a bit confusing.
WiiSurf should have its own Wiki page. It should make things easier. Also, to respond to a comment on a talk page, do :this
on a new line and then put ~~~~
after your post. Anyway, I'll be happy to help you start a page for this homebrew, and maybe test it later. So long as you put a small thanks to me in the credits. :D -Clorox who vectored some rasters 19:32, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
- Here it is. It's at User:WiiCracker/WiiSurf. Put some data there, so we know what's happening. Or you could email me at claysmalley@gmail.com and tell me what to put there, if you're lazy. -Clorox who vectored some rasters 19:53, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
