Undo of Wii System Updates

Would you care to explain why you undid the changes I made to Wii System Updates?

Piracy is strictly off limits on wiibrew.org and the WAD installer has no legal application (even homebrew WADs use stolen copyrighted code to function) Stevey 00:30, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

Not strictly true. I already discussed this with Muzer, and we came to the conclusion that it is ok to inform people that WAD Manager still works as long as we don't specifically reference VC/Wii-Ware. Besides, there are legal applications. For example, if you use WUFE (Wii Update File Extractor) to extract IOS wads from games you LEGALLY own, you can legally install those IOSes with WAD Manager. If it didn't have any legal applications, it wouldn't even have a page on here since Wiibrew doesn't endorse piracy of any kind.

Yes, it could be used that way but it's like downloading the backuploader for the actual definition of backups and not 'backups=bootlegs' logic everyone is using it for. If you want a better explanation why it's wrong just read this Stevey 17:42, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
