Highligh Text?

Is there any chance that the highlight text in the menu can be changed from blue to something like yellow?? its next to impossible to read (or at least for me!?) JD 13:27, 7 June 2008 (CEST)

Feesh! I'm all over it!
Cool ;) seen you chatting about on talk pages getting new images. looking forward to it JD 23:12, 7 June 2008 (CEST)
Feesh! Ok I've done it :D, you can redownload it now, copy the hbc_app folder to your sd card's apps folder and rename it to MAsteroids or whatever you want. By the by- yellow was the perfect colour hehe. Keep any ideas coming.
Cool ;), I suppose yellow might not be to everyones taste tho (green probably will be!)?? How easy would it be to set the colours in game through the options or through a config file or something?? JD 14:45, 8 June 2008 (CEST)
Looking very good, just got the latest copy of the wiki, and I'm really liking it ;)

Online Functionality

Online Scoreboard

yea! JD 14:45, 8 June 2008 (CEST)

Feesh! Only one problem with that, since the game is open source, and there are a ton of things you can change in options, it would be close to impossible to make it legitimate.
True, but you if you used something along the lines of the WiiBrew Internet API| once it gets developed, you could just choose to not include your keys in the source code, thus rendering any other compilations of it a different game! JD 23:28, 9 June 2008 (CEST)

Online Battle Mode

given the minimalism of the game, surely you could get loads of players into it without any lag!! JD 14:45, 8 June 2008 (CEST)

Feesh! It'd have to be without the asteroids (irony..)
Is this because of randomisation or something?? still I think given enough players it would be a laugh! even just a normal battle mode! JD 23:30, 9 June 2008 (CEST)

Customisable Backgrounds?

Probably pointless, but the ability to load a custom background from say background.png or something?? If this helps, Jewel Quest has a custom level thing which includes loading the background from files and their source code is available. JD 14:45, 8 June 2008 (CEST)

Feesh! Totally possible, I learned today that libfat looks in the same folder as boot.elf/dol by default today, so I might go ahead and make a backgrounds folder in there and have the game choose a random one for the background.
Cool, I only thought about it after seeing the xbox arcade version, tho I think sticking with minimalism is best :D possibly have some white dots on a black background... totally pointless I know! JD 23:29, 9 June 2008 (CEST)

Music?

I noticed you had support for MP3 music in your source code. I tried placing an MP3 file in /music/masteroids but it seemed to have problems playing it correctly. I suppose this isn't fully implemented yet? Well, I'm looking forward to it. I also found some CC licensed music that would make good background music I think. --ProdigySim 03:17, 8 June 2008 (CEST)

Yup MP3's would be cool (especially if you could browse to the folder you want to play or something... but I guess thats a massive ask!! Would be cool if someone could code that for others to use tho ;) JD 14:31, 8 June 2008 (CEST)
Feesh Yeah, I need to add in threading for the music player, but as it stands right now I dont' have a good enough grasp of threads to implement this function fully, but I'm gonna be working on it.

Splash Screen

I amazingly forgot the orientation for the bloomin wiimote earlier! haha Anyway, do you reckon it would be worth while having a title/splash screen with the remote on its side asking to press button 2 or something to continue?? JD 23:43, 9 June 2008 (CEST)

Feesh! - Me and Chaosteil recently released "libwiisprite"- it's doing alright so far, but I'm adding in primitive drawing and stuff to it, but I'm currently porting Masteroids to it. I have plans for a sort of lame intro FMV, but I'll throw in a "Hold your controller like this" screen also- maybe even with motion sensing to detect whether your already holding it like that or not!... but I'm pretty lazy so hehe. Estimated date of port: june 15-16th, a lot of things are scheduled for libwiisprite 0.2.0 that I'm gonna be using already so sadly source might not be available right off the bat.

Using your code

Well I used it already, just to test my code (it is for controlling the wii's tray's led), I didn't modified anything just used it for testing and I would like if you see it, (turns the light on when you kill someone or get killed) http://www.emiliobool.com/uploads/homebrew/wii/Masteroid_Light.elf, and by the way, Thanks for sharing your code : ) --Bool 01:52, 25 June 2008 (CEST)

Feesh! - Sweet man, it'd be nice if you released the code also though man :)

Any plans for 2D / 3D Assets

Hey there Feesh, I love the multiplayer aspect of the game. It has great potential! Do you have any intention of moving from vector graphics to 2D/3D - is so, let me know and i'll create the assets for you (model, texture & render). --Deadrabbit 03:50, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Bricking?

How come this game has a warning about possible brick? In which case can it happen? Is it really more dangerous than the rest of the games here? Xyrion 02:21, 29 August 2008 (UTC) Feesh! Hey man, well, I just wanted to cover my ass- the last thing I want is some error in any of the components MAsteroids uses then getting blamed for the error :(. If in some sort of 1 in a million chance your wii did explode when you played MAsteroids... chances are you would still bitch at me, but at least I've got the whole disclaimer going on. Also to double whammy this post, cheers for all the ideas and support, I wish I had a wii to continue developing this on! Cheers guys.
