Talk:Mario Kart Channel
General Description... Wrong
It seems to me like the actual channel should be discussed here, as the "Channel" in-game is technically a part of the game itself.
The installed channel is only capable of listing online records, and details about tournaments, etc. It allows the user of the channel to proceed into a race (for Wifi play, tournament, or to view a ghost) but at this point the user is required to insert the Game Disc to continue playing, as the Channel obviously doesn't contain the main game code.
So essentially, the Mario Kart Channel on the Wii menu is nothing more than a stat tracker. I haven't confirmed yet, however, if you still receive messages from Nintendo (concerning upcoming tournaments) without the channel installed. --Thegamefreak0134 19:16, 7 August 2008 (CEST)
Fixed it up. Mario Kart Channel is a stat tracker for MKWii, using WC24 and you can easily turn of the nintendo messages ingame or on your message board (when you receive one, click on the button in the upper left) --Drag0nflamez 15:11, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
