Concerning the Elderly

Abandoned apps that have been obsoleted by more stable/featureful ones should be removed from the list and relocated to a retirement category where they will be given prescription drugs and sit around talking about how nobody ever visits them. I'm sure most people can think of at least a few abandoned apps that no longer belong. Flark 07:14, 9 July 2008 (CEST)

I agree, Old apps need to be relocated to a special page and not deleted, in case someone finds a use for them again. --Initrd.gz 5:04 PM, 15 August 2009 (CDT)

date column?

it would be useful (to me) to have a "last updated" column with month/day/year so i can see what's changed since i looked last without going through the wiki revisions - unless there's another way to do this that i'm not aware of

Idea: Add peripherals to each table

Improvement to compare similar emulators. Shrink peripheral icons to not be obtrusive.

There is already the Homebrew apps/Peripheral info page for that. I plan to merge that page into the individual list pages so they are used and updated more often. --Blooper4912

Notable Applications?

I think that homebrew browser and dragon media player are not in the same league with the others on the list. I would either remove them from the list or add Starfall, MPlayer (Team Twiizers), ftpii and Quake to it. Maybe the best thing would be to have a "notable apps" on every homebrew category page? Personally, I'd rather flat-out remove it. Aside from the obvious like the Twilight Hack, who's to say what's "notable" and what isn't? - トウメイ 03:47, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
Good point. Xyrion 09:54, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
I Agree with Toumei. It should be removed totally. Either that or make a ranking system and base the content by that. --Initrd.gz 23:36, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
So, do we have to vote first or should someone just remove it? Xyrion 21:37, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
I don't see anyone defending it. <_< - トウメイ 05:11, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
Go ahead and remove it. It was just an idea that I came up with that didn't work as planned. --Blooper4912 20:53, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Demos?

This category is very messy. I think we need to separate scene demos (art) from proof-of-concepts and technical demonstrations somehow. I also think that WiiPaint belongs to utilities and MTB & MTP to jokes. Shut, Box2D Balls and DrawingBox should probably go to the old homebrew archives. Xyrion 02:03, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Go for it. Be bold! --Blooper4912 08:13, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
I did. :) Xyrion 22:25, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

{{Peripheral table}}

I have created the new template {{Peripheral table}} that can replace the current peripheral tables on the application list pages. It has the advantages of being simpler and easier to update if another peripheral has to be included. I have made documentation for the template, also. --Blooper4912 20:13, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

Split list of application categories from Development stuff

Currently Development redirects to Homebrew applications, and the page itself has two parts - a list of categories of homebrew apps leading to other pages, and a bit about how to develop. The two things seem completely separate to me. Should the development stuff be split off to its own page, and just keep this page as the starting page to browse for apps?
