現在、あなたのWii consoleにHomebrew Channelをインストールする2つの方法があります。 最も簡単な方法は、 Bannerbomb かIndiana PwnsをHackMii installerと一緒に使用することです。この方法はWii System Menuのバージョンが3.0 – 4.2で利用できます。 もうひとつは Twilight Hackを使う方法です。しかし、この方法はWii System Menu 4.0 以降では使用できませんし、The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess のDISKを持っている必要があります。

Bannerbomb

Bannerbomb は.dolファイルと.elfファイルをロードする機能があります。現在、それはWii System Menu 4.0以降では.dolファイルと.elfファイルをロードする唯一の方法です。

Homebrew Channel

Homebrew Channel はユーザにhomebrew applicationsを容易にロードして、使用させる Team Twiizersによって作成された自己アップデートするアプリケーションです。新しいアプリケーションを実行するときにBannerbombやTwilight Hackなどを使用する必要はなく、インストールの後は、他のWiiチャンネルのようにWii Menuからアクセスしやすいです。 いつでも、Wiiの「データ管理」メニューを通してチャンネルを削除できます。 Homebrew Channelはコンソールのプレーログに現れないで、またしかしながら、これはいかなる方法でもWiiに全く影響しません。

Homebrew Channelの設定方法

必要なもの

第１部 : SDカードをフォーマットします

Windows

  1. SDカードをパソコンのSDカードリーダに挿入します。;
  2. SDカードのデータが消えますので必要であればバックアップをとっておく。
  3. "マイ　コンピュータ"を開く
  4. Right-click on the drive that contains the SD card and select "Format..."
  5. Under "File system" make sure you select FAT (see picture to the right)
  6. Click "Start" and let the process finalize
  7. After the formatting is finished proceed to the next step
Mac OS
  1. Back up any data you might currently have on the SD card as this process will erase the data on the card
  2. Open up "Disk Utility"
  3. Find your SD card in the navigation
  4. Go to the "Erase" tab
  5. Change the "Volume Format" to MS-DOS (FAT)
  6. Click "Erase" and let the process finalize
  7. After the formatting is finished proceed to the next step
Linux
  1. Back up any data you might currently have on the SD card as this process will erase the data on the card
  2. Open up a terminal
  3. Execute the command "mkfs.vfat /dev/<location of your SD card>"
  4. Caution not to reformat your hard disk. Think hard before formatting /dev/sda1, for example.
  5. After the formatting is finished proceed to the next step

第２部: SDカードにファイルをコピーします

  1. Bannerbomb と HackMii installerをダウンロードする。
  2. Bannerbomb と HackMii installer を適当なフォルダーに展開する。例えば、デスクトップなど (see pic. 1)
  3. hackmii_installer_beta3フォルダを開きます (see pic. 2)
  4. boot.elf[2] をSDカードにコピーします。　(see pic. 3)
  5. 最後にBannerbombを展開したときにできたprivate フォルダをSDカードにコピーします。 Picture 4 はSDカードにどんなファイルがあるかを表してます。

  • Extract the files in your Desktop

  • Copy boot.elf to your SD card

  • Copy folder private to your SD card

  • Your SD card should look like this in the end

第3部: Wiiをセットアップします

(Please Note that "setting up wii" instructions are for bannerbomb v1, for v2 click here)

  1. まだSDカードをwii本体に挿入しません。
  2. Wiiの電源を入れてください、そしてWii設定メニューを開きます。
  3. "Data Management" を実行し"Channels" を選択し、次に "SD Card"　を選択します。
  4. SDカードをWii本体に挿入します。
  5. "Load Boot.dol/elf?" と確認画面が開くので "Yes"　を選択します。
  6. もしすべてうまくいくと、(pic. 4)の画面が表示されるのでWiiリモコンの 1 を押します。 そうすれば、あなたはこのチュートリアルの 次の章 に進む準備ができました。もし画面が表示されない場合は、以下の手順を実行してください。

  • Open the settings menu

  • Go into Data Management and then Channels

  • Press SD Card

  • A pop-up box will appear. Click yes.

Part 4: Homebrew Channelのインストール

この章では、グラフィカルな画面ではなく、単語が青い画面の真ん中に表示されます。 On the first screen what sticks out is the Green/Red print. If you have a new Wii it will say something like this:

The Homebrew Channel: Can be installed
DVDx: Can be installed
BootMii: Can only be installed as IOS
The installed boot1 version prevents a boot2 install (-2)

If you have an older Wii then all three will be in green and say Can be installed

  1. Press the A button on your Wiimote
  2. Here you will be presented with a menu of options for now select "Homebrew Channel"
  3. Select "Install the Homebrew Channel"
  4. A new selection will come up asking to "Install the Homebrew Channel now?" Select "yes, continue"
  5. After installation it should say "finished" and return you to the main menu
  6. Select "Install DVDx" "install DVDx now?" will show up. Select "Yes, Continue"
  7. Select "BootMii" select the option that suits your Wii (If you can install as boot2 DO SO. If not install as IOS)

Running Bootmii Through HBC

If you're one of the late-comers to the Wii party you may have had to install BootMii via IOS. In that case you have to run BootMii by going into The HBC and hit the "Home" button on your Wii Remote. Place your cursor onto the "Launch BootMii" selection and press A.[3]

トラブルシューティング

SDカードを挿入したときに、なにもおきなかった!

  • 下記４つのうちどれかが起きてます:
  1. SDカードの正しい位置に、データをCOPYしなかった。
  2. あなたはchannel menuの代わりにsavegame dataを入れた。
  3. archive bit を private\wii\title\aktn\content.bin　に設定する必要がある。

OMG!! One of the selections is purple and says I can't install BootMii!!

  • You havn't read this page in detail, this is explained further up with a picture of the screen.

My Wiimote quit working when i loaded up BootMii! Why? and Can this be fixed?

  • You didn't read BootMii's FAQ or the README file located in the Hackmii installer archive.

Both State that you have to use a Gamecube controller or the Power/Reset/Eject buttons on the console. In order for this to be fixed a lot of coding will have to be done to make a custom Bluetooth stack and drivers for BootMii. This isn't on the top of the priority list.

Will my Wavebird wireless controller work?

  • Yes, but you must hold any (unused) button when you start up your Wii.
(Wavebird wireless controller now supported in beta3)

Any other questions whould be directed to the WiiBrew:FAQ. I'm human after all and can't remember every question that is asked but will update as necessary

  • Can Install BootMii as boot2

  • Can not install BootMii as boot2

If everything went as planned you should have everything installed and should select "exit" and your Wii will load into the Homebrew Channel, Or into the system menu with The Homebrew Channel on the menu.

Once you press A on your Wii Remote it will power off and be unusable. You have to use a GameCube controller plugged into slot #1, or the three buttons on the front of the console.
