Sega CD Emulator - Genplus-gx-1.7.4

I'm sorry to be a complete novice at emulators, but i've download the sega cd emulator for the wii, unzipped the file and cannot find any directory for the roms, saves, cheats etc. Could someone tell me what i'm doing wrong. The first files i;ve got when i open the folder is the apps folder (contains the boot file to run the emulator) and the wii/gamecube dol files, a history doc. and license .doc and a .pdf readme doc. Theres no other folders or nothing? Theres a youtube clip on this emulator (about 6 mins long) and when he opens the apps folder, theres the rom, save and cheat folders.
