The Netflix Channel allows users to stream movies directly to your wii. You must have a subscription with Netflix to do this. Rather than using a dvd to stream to movie the channel can now be downloaded over the Wii Shop Channel. Movies can be streamed at up to 480p. There is no possible way to get HD (720p and up) on the wii due to hardware limitations. Because the service is subscription based when you first use the channel you must enter a code provided by the channel into your Netflix account (that was created when you subscribed). Then you will have access to a large repository of movies.
