Bg4545, since you sound like an expert on illegal things let me ask you this: [http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/privacyCoC.jsp this page] says 'Unauthorized technical modifications to your Wii Console voids your warranty and may be illegal. Nintendo may make technical changes to the Wii Console, software and/or Wii Network Service to disable the modification.'. Now nintendo does disable modifications with every new version of system menu, and one thing that it deletes every time is homebrew channel. Now question to you: do you want to be consistent and delete everything on wiibrew.org that 'may be illegal'? If so, nintendo gives you a hint what they think is unathorized mod that may be illegal. Do you want to start policing that? Just to be clear I dont like any of those themes, i didnt install any of that. I just wanted to chime in on the 'legality' debate. --[[User:Spec|Spec]] 21:18, 3 September 2010 (CEST)

All the statements you made about homebrew being unauthorized, but not illegal could be applied to themes you are policing. But the themes don't use reverse engineering to run and they dont circumvent protections which is all illegal according to DMCA in US and similar laws in other countries. Plus you got games using trademarks like Super Mario (even if they are entirely created by users). How about emulators - didn't sony get a court order to kill one of the emulators? Another legal action [http://www.zdnetasia.com/sony-sues-another-software-firm-over-playstation-emulator-13028033.htm here]. Also wouldn't it be illegal for nintendo to remove software from wii that you are saying is legal? Wouldn't nintedo expect a possible legal action if they kept doing that?  How about [http://hackmii.com/2010/04/check-disk-for-pre-repair-process/#more-1006 this post], search for word 'illegal' and see what nintendo thinks is illegal. And you are policing posts by some guy saying "email me so I can give you a link to a site". Please... --[[User:Spec|Spec]] 16:00, 5 September 2010 (CEST)
