:Yes you can. I can confirm this as I did this myself (I even got bored and deleted half of my IOS-es and it still restored fine). But I personally didn't see a point with 4.0, SDHC doesn't apply to me and I find most of the WiiWare games boring (SD menu) --[[User:Murkantor|Murkantor]] 06:48, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

::Note to other users - I’ve not upgraded but if you update to 4.2 now it deletes the BootMii from Boot2, making it impossible to restore your BootMii backup. [[User:JP|JP]] 11:23, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
