To work on 4.0, the installer needs to patch IOS60, then do its magic with the System Menu. Same thing will go for 4.1, since it uses the same IOS60. I have a bricked wii, and the only thing it says when I boot it is "The system files are corrupted". I can access the Savemii menu, but I need a game disc with the new 4.1 menu update to load the wad. Can anyone tell me a game that has the update; (maybe wii sports resort?).

I currently have a softmodded wii (i.e. no chip installed) and has previously updated the Wii "manually" to v. 4.0u using a guide i found. :Mgarde: I would not ever update through the System Menu, as there will undoubtedly be some homebrew "fix" in every update from now on. Not to mention the fact that a SM update checks for the newest version of every piece of software related to running the Wii, not just the one that the update message mentions.
