===Crashes when transferring to USB device===
 +
I have a maxtor 200gb 3.5" HDD connected to my wii and I've never had any trouble with it. But the other day I noticed that ftpii crashes when I'm transferring files to the HDD. This does not happen with SD Cards.

FTPii doesn't print any error messages at all. It just stops working. I can't press any buttons, just hold the power button on the console to shut it off. Sometimes the IO LED on the HDD stays lit after it crashes like it's writing something, but it doesn't make any seeking noises and the LED doesn't blink. It just stays lit. After turning off the Wii the LED is turned off. Other times the LED doesn't stay lit and doesn't blink either.

I've tried this with two different clients. Filezilla first, and then the one that's integrated into Midnight Commander. Same thing with both. Again, this does not happen if I transfer it to the SD card (a sandisk ultra-II 2gb card).

Is this a bug or is it the USB HDD that doesn't like ftpii? Or is it perhaps the clients? But then it wouldn't work with the SD card i suppose... [[User:Synt4x|Synt4x]] 21:06, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
