Title
Not a huge problem, but the title of 0.3 rev 11 still says rev 10. The description says rev 11 though. (this is in the HBC btw) Ensign R 10:14, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
  −
: Please use the officially released v0.3 instead of the HBB revisions. --Teknecal 11:45, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
  −
::I am not sure what you mean by official, but I have only every used HBB to update itself, originally getting HBB 0.3 via the original Homebrew Browser. HBB then updated itself to rev 11 (or maybe I did d/l it again using the original HBB. I am too lazy to do things manually Ensign R 13:38, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Not updating correctly
  −
Two apps I have keep showing up as having an update available, even though I have the current version of both. Even if I update through HBB they still have the yellow plus sign. The two apps are iiii (version 1.2) and Snes9x GX, which HBB reports me having version 4.0.0, when I have 4.0.3 installed. HBC reports my version as 4.0.3. Ensign R 10:14, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
  −
: As you are using Rev11, the list file only has iiii v1.2 (and not 1.2+) and SnesGX v4.0.0 (and not 4.0.0). The solution is to upgrade to official v0.3. It reports that these items are out of date because the list file is old. --Teknecal 11:45, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
  −
:: As above I haven't manually installed anything. What it the best way for me to make it 'official'. I get prompted to update HBB when I use the old version. Should I press A and let it update using that? Ensign R 13:43, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
  −
::: If you are on HBB v0.2.5d and it asks to update, do press yes and it will update you to HBB v0.3. Is there a reason you haven't updated? --Teknecal 13:56, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
  −
::::OK. I have two versions of the HBB. The original old school one, which iirc is 0.2.5c, and 0.3 rev 11. I originally got 0.3 rev 10 by upgrading from 0.2.5c/d. I then had 2 copies of HBB, and still do. Somewhere along the way I upgraded to rev 11. This was not done manually either. I don't think I've manually copied anything to my SD since I originally installed HBB Ensign R 14:47, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
  −
:::::OK I think something must have screwed up when I originally installed ver 0.3. I just painstakingly removed HBBv03 from my SD card, using SD explorer, and reinstalled HBB from 0.2.5c. I now only have one HBB in my HBC, which is ver 0.3 and it all works fine. Can I now delete /temp/* from the original HBB install? Thanks Ensign R 16:03, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
  −
::::::Yep you can remove /temp. --Teknecal 13:13, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

Invalid Icon(s)
  −
* When HBB starts it gets stuck checking icon 115 of 205, then resumes.
  −
* The listing for FCE Ultra GX has 'Invalid Icon' printed in the icons placeholder and 'noise' in the text placeholder.
  −
* The Winterman icon is screwed.
  −
I just had a thought. I should try delete the files from ../temp and see if that fixes things, but I've already written this now. Ensign R 10:14, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
  −
: There is a good chance that 115 may be the FCEU icon. Please do remove all your temp folder and also upgrade to v0.3. In regards to Winterman icon, I'm not sure what causes it to change colours on the botton right of the icon. Icons like Geexbox used to do a similar thing, but I re-saved the PNG and it worked however re-saving the winterman icon didn't have any effect. --Teknecal 11:45, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Unexplained crash
I had HBB crash on me for no apparent reason. It's an isolated incident that I haven't replicated. I did take a photo of the screen dump though if you'd like to take a look. Ensign R 10:14, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

:core was dumped again (after fresh install). I was scrolling thru utils using down on the d-pad and the wiimote rumbling as I was hovering over the items. Ensign R 16:05, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Cannot open file, aborting
  −
I updated my Homebrew Browser today to 0.3. After it downloaded the zip file with all of the images and extracted them, it said at the bottom of the screen: "Cannot open file, aborting" or something like that. Then, it went into the new Homebrew Browser GUI (which I like) and worked fine. I was just wondering if this error message means anything that I should know about. --Bdr9 14:24, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
  −
: Can you see if this happens again? If so, when scrolling through the list do you see any icon that says "Icon not found"? --Teknecal 10:29, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
  −
::After the delay after "Homebrew List Recieved", there is a lot of text that appears on the screen. I don't know if some of this is the "Icon not found" message, because it is so fast. None of the images in the list say "Icon not found". I was really just wondering if the error message meant anything that I should know about. Also, by the way, I think that you should be able to go to a different homebrew category while you are in the details screen for a homebrew. There are several places where you cannot get to the categories without hitting B, and pressing the category buttons does not work. Otherwise, the 0.3 update is great! Thanks! --Bdr9 22:53, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
  −
::: That is a bit worrying. I think it's happening when it's trying to load the icons to memory. I have added some pauses and text to say what it's doing so that should help, can you try this version here: http://www.codemii.com/hbbv030test.dol --Teknecal 09:49, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

::::I ran this debug version of the Homebrew Browser. This was its output: Homebrew Browser 0.3 / *Some ID I'm sure you don't need to know* / Waiting for network to initialize... / Network initialized. / Settings loaded. / Requesting IP address of www.codemii.com / IP address of www.codemii.com successfully retrieved. / Requesting Homebrew List... / Homebrew List recieved. / Going to load icons / Loading image 0/209 / File found / File size ok, going to load to memory / Loading image 1/209 / File found / File size ok, going to load to memory / Loading image 2/209 / File found / File size ok, going to load to memory / Loading image 3/209 And then it goes into the Homebrew Browser GUI. The original problem does not affect the usage of the program at all, and I cannot replicate it. --Bdr9 14:43, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

:::::Are you sure the HBB is installed in the right folder on your SD card?  Maybe some paths are hard-coded. -- MetaFight 16:36, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
  −
::::::You could always delete all the files in the /apps/homebrew_browser/temp directory, retry the HBB test and see if it happens again, it might just be when you download the zip file at the start. --Teknecal 08:55, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
  −
:::::::My Homebrew Browser folder in apps is "homebrew_browser". It must be right because I updated it with the original program. This whole problem is probably nothing to be worried about, because I have only gotten this message once. This was when I was downloading the zip file after updating from the previous version. The Homebrew Browser still works fine, and doesn't show anything abnormal now. I just saw that message fly by after I updated, and was wondering if it meant anything. --Bdr9 14:28, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

After I received the May 1st update, the HBC displayed the HBB last, displaying the title as "/apps/homebrew_browser," and no description. It still worked fine after the update, until I rebooted the Wii. Now every time I go into the HBC to open up the Browser, the Browser loads to 4% and freezes. I can play the HBC bubble-popping game in the background, but otherwise I can't do anything.

: Stack traces do help, however if you are experiencing these code dumps whilst it's downloading or whilst in the download queue, I know that they are issues with the threading in HBB. Otherwise if it happens anywhere else, please do let me know. --Teknecal 11:36, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

One of the things that go wrong seems to be related to the fact that uae/uaerc is in fact created as uae/uaerc/ instead, thus making the emulator fail the boot up due to missing configurationf file. Hoping this to be useful, --Erik Bauer 08:25, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

: I see. It appears that because there isn't any extension to the file name, that when unzipping it thinks it's a folder. I've tried using ftpii to transfer it across and it also fails, thinking it's a folder. Will need to investigate. --Teknecal 09:06, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
