Your data that was deleted by [[NUS Downloader]] may still be recoverable! Download [http://www.recuva.com/ Recuva], a free file recovery software and let it scan your hard drive. Once it's done scanning, restore your lost files to either a secondary hard drive or a flash drive. This [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhAbVVHH7PQ youtube clip] may be of some help if you're confused. Try not to write anything to your hard drive until your files are recovered to increase your chances of being able to salvage everything.
I had a similar thing happen to my computer a while ago. An application that I downloaded and was testing completely erased my whole "My Documents" folder. Luckily, I was able to recover most of it with Recuva.
