Other connect 24 things work okay. My guess is that it's stuck in some kind of JP mode.

Edit: After testing putting it back to JP, I'm sure that's exactally what happened, as it now connects fine.
Now I think the shop, news channel and weather are part of the system menu yes? So if I was to install EU 3.2.. it might fix it? Does doing this affect my wii's mail code or anything like that? I know it likely doesn't.. but just to be sure.
