It appears that after one successfuly connection, I could not log in again.  I Switched to WPA on my wifi, and I did get it to work, but i dont know if thats just one time because it involved resetting my router.  I will do more testing tonight.  If the wii is in the DMZ though it cant be a firewall issue.  I would keep it on WPA, but not all wifi devices in my house support it. --Davey 09:16 23 July 2008 EST

:The other case I had heard of [http://pub.ne.jp/udsan/?entry_id=1548796 got resolved], and it was also a case of using automatic configuration (AOSS). He changed from that to a manual configuration and it began working. --[[User:ProdigySim|ProdigySim]] 07:31, 24 July 2008 (CEST)

I now have my router set to no security, but to only allow certain MAC address, and the homebrew channel seems to work everytime, but the HBB doesn't work at all. (unless it was down last night).--[[User:DaveyDucati|DaveyDucati]] 18:13, 24 July 2008 (CEST)
