I am currently using a Wii with 3.2 firmware, and homebrew channel beta 8. I have installed and gotten plenty of apps to work fine, however I have never been able to get this application to work. It just says that it cant initialize with the network. Opera works fine, weather channel, wii connect 24, and the Homebrew channel had updated automatically when I installed beta 7. Is there are a port you would recommend opening up on my router to try and solve this issue. I have a feeling my routers firewall is blocking it. Its an actiontec wifi router that comes standard with verizon fios.

:The Homebrew Browser uses HTTP on port 80 to get all of the data... So unless port 80 is blocked by your firewall, I don't think that's the issue. However, I have heard of other people having this same issue without resolution. Can I ask specifics about how your Network connection is set up on the Wii? : So i use the wii's built in wifi, with automatic configuration on a WEP key. I believe its 64 bit WEP, but it may be 128 bit. I can check when I get home. My router (although I dont know why) doesn't support WPA keys. I will try disabling it though when I get home and see if that changes anything.--Dave 14:53, 22 July 2008 (EST)
