MERGE TO User talk:DrTwox/WiiMP
     −
The Wii part of the project has been canned :(  WiiMP (now thinking of a more appropriate name!) has grown from a nice little music player to a massive music application that works on MacOS, Windows and Linux. The Wii version was mostly working, but the SD resolution was really holding it back from what I wanted it to be. --DrTwox (talk) 01:52, 30 December 2012 (CET)

WiiMP is progressing slowly. Really hoping to have an alpha ready in a month or so. --DrTwox 21:12, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Oh well, missed that promise by two plus months and counting! Real-life keeps getting in the way of precious dev time :) WiiMP will be worth the wait. --DrTwox 05:12, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Finished the abstracted filesystem stuff.  Network streaming works perfectly :) --DrTwox 21:46, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Check out http://code.google.com/p/wiimp/ - I've released the SQLite port into svn. --DrTwox 05:12, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Project is taking too long! Nearing 5k lines of code, 2k+ for the GUI... Inspired by Gutenberg, it will not be released until it is perfect!

I'm thinking of renaming WiiMP to 'The Project That Ate My Life'! I started this beast almost a year ago, and still I can't see the end! Implemented a Quake3 like shader system for the GUI with impressive results... overkill perhaps, but certainly looks nice :) That combined with the GUI scripting setup will allow people to fully customise the interface to whatever suits them.
