config.dat

I've seen you are looking into the /shared2/sys/net/02/config.dat file. I'm currenty trying to make a homebrew network configurator, so maybe we can talk about that on irc or other means? --Suloku 21:59, 08 August 2009 (UTC)

I was thinking of doing the same thing, actually! There are times when I need to switch the LAN connection my uses and, as I'm sure you've noticed, the Wii interface won't let you select a connection that fails the connection test. That makes it impossible to do offline dev on multiple LANs. You seem to have looked into the structure of the file more than I have, so I don't know if I'd actually be able to help you with your project. I am interested in helping out if I can though. I don't have much time to dedicate to homebrew anymore but I try to read the wiki once and a while. I hope to see your work soon :) -- MetaFight 21:18, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
Actually, I have integrated in fstoolbox (for the already implemented isfs) network configuration functions. I have a specific one that given a file buffer, enables all found connections and sets the first found one as default, but I also implemented functions to set all the other settings. I testet them this afternoon and I succesfully created a working manual wireless connection in my slot 3, which was empty.
What I don't know is why your header is different. Mine is all 0x00 except for the 0x04 byte, which toogles when there's a valid connection. Anyways, you can finf me at #wiihelp or #hackmii at efnet on irc right now. --Suloku 23:46, 08 August 2009 (UTC)

HomeMenu

Is HomeMenu a port of my HOME menu library or something you made completely on your own? Either way, can I help out?--Arikado 22:27, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

It's an independent thing. Sorry about releasing pretty much the same product! I'm not trying to compete or anything, I've just been working on this for a while now. It started off as part of my game, but I decided to make it completely separate. As for helping out, there's not too much left to do. Once I release the source you can feel free to make contributions. Again, sorry about the conflicting release... it's just an unfortunate coincidence. -- MetaFight 22:44, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

Hi there... Yes, on occasions I do take requests... I have seen a video of the shiny red tank game... Would you be able to send me some screens [title, menu, options, ingame screens] to give me a better idea of what you need? The existing ingame art would help as well. What direction do you want to go with the game as far as look and feel goes? At the moment it does look very open to all sorts of styles - eg. colourful 90s (rainbow island, bubble bobble, etc.) or it could go more into 3D rendered art or a style more along the lines of MetalSlug. Cheers, Chris --DayDreamOz 20:08, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
