You mention dance mats, but what about the Wiiboard? Beegee7730 17:22, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
- Although it might technically be possible to have StepMania accept the input from a balance board, I don't think you could actually "dance" on it. Because of that, I'm not planning to support it. I suppose I could add support when I get to that point if there's enough interest.
Oh, I am ecstatic that you've begun work on this. I'm glad I found this page. I can't wait to see success from this project. Daman 04:45, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
Yes!! Stripped build working, great work Daman 23:34, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
- Really hoping you don't drop this and disappear. If you give up, at least upload what you've got! Daman 01:13, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
Looks like he dropped this and disappeared...? This is by far the app I've been itching to see ever since I heard about HBC. I wouldn't mind parting with 20 bucks or so if it would renew Borbzz's interest. Perhaps I'm not the only one... Mu mind 00:43, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
He did because of this: http://www.stepmania.com/wiki/Minimum_Requirements
wii only has 24MB of ram, and 64MB secondary. He would have to make a new fork of stepmania for wii to support the ram usage. And his excuse of finding the device name and supporting them are now nonnegotiable thanks to the work of gc-linux with their MIKE p5 kernel. I dunno if whiite-linux w/ the ISO kernel has device handlers though. Bebuxe 22:07, 7 October 2011 (CEST)
Classic Controller Support
Really, this is a must. Nintendo Maniac 64 01:06, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
More formats than just MP3? (such as OGG vorbis)
I know StepMania on PC also supports OGG vorbis audio, and I definitely have several SM songs in that format. Converting them to MP3 isn't any good because MP3 adds ~.05 seconds of silence at the beginning, which could easily be enough of a difference between a Perfect and a Great. —Preceding unsigned comment added by NintendoManiac64 (talk • contribs) 16:02, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
Keyboard support?
USB keyboard support would be cool for lazy people without a dancepad. Plus, keyboard is the input I'm used to on PC. Please consider it. I hope you haven't given up on this project. I think it's gonna kick "butt".
