For large rom loading maybe do something like gngeo2x for GP2x

Look at the gngeo2x for GP2x source code it use some .gfx data to stream the GFX part of large rom to be loaded with less memory - Yod4z GMT+1 17:50

Yeah, I have seen :) But I haven't looked at it in detail yet to see how it actually works. - Blizzo 17:47 GMT 02/09/08

Bios/Roms

I got ng-lo.rom, ng-sfix.rom, neogeo.rom, and uni-bios.rom. However, nothing I do makes it run. What am I doing wrong? --Atariangamer 19:57, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

>> Hi Atarian! I had this problem. Rename ng-lo.rom to 000-lo.lo, ng-sfix.rom to sfix.sfx and uni-bios.rom to sp-s2.sp1.

>> I Hope have helped and sorry for any error of english.

Hi, I'm getting an error. It flashes too quickly on-screen to be able to write it down verbatim, but basically, after I hit "1" to load a rom, it tells me that sfix.sfix is not in the roms/ directory. However, I DO have sfix.sfix in the roms directory.

What I did was go to LINK REMOVED and download the roms .zip file that contains a buttload of roms, including sfix.sfix. I unzipped it and copied them all over to the /roms dir. on my SD card.

However, it's still giving me the error.

Any ideas? Thanks very much for your help Thunderpants 18:28, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Has anyone been able to make this work? Gamewizard71 01:52, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Future Updates

Hello blizzo, I wanted to know if you have any plan to release a new version soon? I hope you will recompile it with the lastest libogc/libfat version 1.7.0 because this way, SDHC cards will be supported :)

Also a little bug I have is the games display only in 4:3 resolution on my 16:9 hdtv, leaving black borders on the two sides, is there a way to fix this?, I hope so.

Thanks a lot for your great work, merry xmas :)

MAME standard

GxGeo does not work with the current NeoGeo ROMs for MAME. Is there any way you can make it so they work with the newest MAME ROMs? Fartboy 09:47, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

Error mesage

Blizzo when I try and run the GxGeo on homebrew it gets to the part where it says "Press HOME to EXIT. 1 or 2 to load a ROMSET" then it gets stuck there nothing loads and when i push any of those buttons nothing happens. Any ideas on what I can do to fix the problem? I am using the uni bios version 2.3 it seems like I have all the required files.

Same problem here, I have all the required files, the roms match the rc files and I get the same screen "Press HOME to EXIT. 1 or 2 to load a ROMSET" and it is stuck from that point...--Frenchmaninsd 01:13, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

Maybe there is an answer for you both : GxGeo 0.5 is kind of hold now and not compiled with latest lib. So it doesn't
support SDHC, try again with a regular 2Go SD card. OPIK 15:09, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

From the controls doc:

"The Gamecube controller takes priority over the Wiimote"

If you have a Gamecube controller pluged in, use it to run the emulator (Use A to start the game) --Asmorreo 07:05, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
