Sorry for the edit confusion, I was submitting while someone else was also. I think I recovered the lost entries. If not, fix what needs to be. --Zandro 05:42, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

Wow. Maybe with a ton more, we could fix the Wifi Problems on the Wii! --Jedicommando 03:45, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

Pre-Eliminatory Results

I AM NOT STATING THAT THIS IS THE ISSUE but rather taking a small look into the results. Come back in around a month for true results.

It appears that all WPAs, mostly WPA2's and WPA-personal have the most amount of issues. Now to go on the web and look for some more information on those securities. Pinball wizard 00:12, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

Thinking the same thing. Perhaps with help from copy, paste, and Microsoft Works.--retrotails 04:51, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Found (part of?) the problem

Hello everyone, I have done a few hours of testing and monitoring, and discovered that at least in my case, all my connection problems are due to the SSID beacon interval being too high. Unfortunately my router does not allow me to change this setting as far as I know, so I have no way to lower it. I have made several connections to unprotected neighbors' wifi - with lower SSID beacon intervals - and connections to those are successful all the time. It seems homebrew scans for networks for a shorter amount of time than official Nintendo software, which explains why those have less problems finding my network. Perhaps it is possible to let homebrew scan for SSID's for a longer period of time, so as to eliminate this issue? Thulinma 14:56, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

Maybe use installation CD that came with router? That's what I do. Worse comes to worst, use downloaded CD for that router.--retrotails 04:53, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
