Talk:Savegame Installer

I have a problem. I am trying to install and extract saves from my Wii with a backup disk of Animal Crossing: City Folk, but the installer AND extractor don't recognise the disk, so it won't work. Is there anyway of working this without the original game disk?
Also, I can copy the save game as a .bin file to my SD card (removing copy flags > transfer), but I cannot open it for the RVFOREST.dat file, unless a program exists to do that for me and recompile back into a .bin file.
Safe to use for updaters?
Is this program safe to use (with bannerbomb) if I want to update to future updates (or even 4.3)? If I update in the future and have installed a savegame would nintendo remove the save or like brick me or something? Thanks!--X66x66 21:08, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
- They wouldn't remove saves with an update (unless it is an exploit, such as the Twilight Hack or Indiana Pwns). --bg4545 01:22, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
- So like if I use the Animal Crossing map editor, nintendo wouldn't brick me with an update? And that is with Bannerbomb not HBC--X66x66 22:08, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
- No, they will never brick you. At least, it is incredibly unlikely, and perhaps even impossible? (I don't think they can tell if a save game is edited or not. They can tell with an exploit because they can check FOR the exploit) --SifJar 20:10, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
