Cool
I really like this game. I hope it goes far. The only think I currently don't like about it is the physics engine seems slightly strange. For example, if you have a pile of sand moving across the ground, it doesn't change shape at all, which looks a little strange. Thanks!--Bdr9 00:42, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
- I put off doing the graphics for my game until seeing this. Its such a fun game to play, a shame there where only 10 maps tho - might try doing one of my own. A few suggestions, allow the user to select a map - I got to 8 or 9 and for some reason quit to the menu to discover I had to do them again. Also, I thought the gravity was a bit dogdy in places - I assumed it to fall to the bottom of the screen the whole time, but on the map where you place stone the sand appeared to fly of to the side. Nonetheless, cool game. Steaky1212 07:53, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
Very cool game; nice, innovative use of the wiimote. The screen does move a bit twitchy sometimes though. Some kind of movement smoothing might be good. --Mr. Reaper 06:17, 8 September 2009 (UTC)
Comments.
The control is just too erratic, due to the lack of a neutral position/deadzone. This looks like an impressive game, so if you could make the control a bit easier, it would be a better game. --Namo 15:06, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Awesome game. loved every second of it. cant wait for more levels to come out. good job. --MGordonH 17:17, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
love it + one small tip
The game is great. And I also love how simple it is to make new levels. I have just one small tip: when you press A or B to put or take stone, I think it would be good if the map froze so that it would no longer turn as long as the button is pressed. I think it would improve control quite a lot. Just an idea; iplement it if you like. If not, I don't mind, the game is still very good as it is. Diego_pmc Talk 08:29, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
No Maps Found
When I run Sandtraps 1.2 or 2.0 I get "No Maps Found" on the menu screen, but Sandtraps 1.1 works fine. I'm using HomeBrew Channel 1.0.1 --Mr. Reaper 22:50, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
- From version 1.2 and up the directory structure for level data was changed, so make sure you unpack ALL files from the zip archives onto your SD card (and delete all files from all earlier versions as well). It is not sufficient just to overwrite the boot.dol file --Flarup 23:01, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
- I did that; I completely deleted the sandtraps folder and then put the newer versions onto the SD card. Then when I saw it didn't work, I simply copied the .dol file (only) from 1.1 over the new one, and it finds the maps just fine (though it can't play the newer-format maps correctly). --Mr. Reaper 23:34, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
- Try updating to the latest version of HomeBrew Channel (currently version 1.0.6 is the latest one) --Flarup 05:33, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
