Talk:Rick Dangerous Wii
Bugs
First of all: Great that you ported one of my favorite games to the Wii and even made it look much much better! I have only one problem. I have a European PAL Wii v3.3 in 16:9 widescreen with a Nintendo RGB cable (60Hertz). The status and title screen are not visible on the top of my TV. --DigDug 10:36, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
Hey, not bad! Any chance for proper widescreen support? I've got black bars on the sides and can't read the first line of text in the intro because it is off the screen. Flark 12:59, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, and I can't see the status bar either. NTSC NA Wii using YPbPr cable. Flark 13:04, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
We have a answer ;)

Shows the title and status bar on when changed to 50 Hz on PAL Wii. --Webba 18:10, 31 October 2008 (CET)
I'm on an NTSC Wii, playing in 16:9 with Component Cables in 480P. I am also noticing the top of the screen is cut off. --Insidious 11:01, 09 November 2008 (UTC)
- I am very much looking forward to this game on my Wii... Unfortunately, I choose it to load and my screen goes black and never returns. Reset is required and I can't play the game. Thought it was thumbs.db being hidden/system not making it to the SD card, but that's not it, since I unmarked it as such and copied it. Any (other) ideas? Thanks - Howie --unhuman 13:26 EDT, 31 December 2009
Terminology
So is this REALLY a port of the original source of Rick Dangerous? Because, honestly, I'm sick and tired of hearing the word "Port" for a game that doesn't use any of the original code. In that case, I would rather use the word "Remake". --Hideous 14:35, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
Yes thats REALLY a port, a reverse engineering done from the 68k version running on Atari/Amiga ported into standard C/C++ --Gouky 22:06, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
Feedback
- Fuckin' great game! Music and Graphics are wonderful, the gameplay is hard like hell, but fair. Thank you guys for this great platformer. --V3nomsoup 21:33, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
--- The graphics that border the game screen are very nice, but personally I prefer to have black borders. The graphics are a little distracting, could you make it optional? Great port by the way! --Insidious 11:01, 09 November 2008 (UTC)
Source code
Is the source code available somewhere? It looks very much like xrick, and if it is I think it would be nice to have the source code around as well :-)
