Would people stop deleting apps without trying to contact the author first! --DrTwox 21:04, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Well, you made the link to your user page, and then you blanked your user page out. LoganA 23:52, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Where?

Where do we put requests for homebrew applications, games and libraries? I'd like to see:

  • 3d helper library similar to libwiisprite in spririt
  • Functions to do save/load game data from SD card -- I guess this exists. It would be nice to see some standards, then a general save game manager could be created.
  • Real Wii internal memory support to save/load homebrew data.
  • DevKitPro support for WiiBalanceBoard
  • Support for getting Mii data and support for rendering Mii's

Some info

The Walking Dead

There are loads of dead projects which haven't been updated since August. I think these should have a special place/category. --Pinecone 17:48, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Is there any way we can timestamp each row in the tables so that we know when the status was current? Or could we flag entries with something like a [citation needed] so that we could politely keep track of which ones should be deleted soon if they don't get updated? --Mu mind 17:57, 29 August 2010 (CEST)

I think there should be a real page dedicated to requests.

Impossible things would be removed, but good ones could be voted on by users. I think this would provide good info/feedback for homebrew developers.--FUNKAMATIC ~talk 17:43, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

That may be a good idea, but while we're on the topic of requests, can you use a normal signature? Red links means the page isn't yet created. Also, using your own font (and inserting what seems to be a non-hyperlinked character in the middle of your name) really takes away from the continuity of the wiki format. -- MetaFight 17:57, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
Yeah I'm pretty good at writing in wiki but I have no idea how we could make polls or some way for people to easily vote for what they want. As for my sig, The text is red and non-created pages are more of a rust-orange-red. I put the black character (which IS hyperlinked) so it wouldn't confuse people as to whether the page was created or not. I think it fits very well with the continuity of the wiki format because it's a customized sig that (at least I THOUGHT) doesn't confuse people. I guess I'll change it a little...
Anyways, so let's create this page and link it on the main page.--FUNKAMATIC ~talk 15:49, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
A request page should not be created. We tried it in the past and it didn't work. --Blooper (Talk) 19:47, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
One reason why it doesn't work is often developers (ie: hobbyists!) do what they are capable of and are interested in - not what is in high demand. --Tantric 20:10, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
Hmmm. So you guys don't think there are any developers who would want some statistics on what people want? If you say so.--FUNKAMATIC ~talk 01:07, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

Beta Testing

Quick question - is there a list of dedicated beta testers? I understand that the point might be that you test it yourself and when you think it is ready, release it to the world then fix problems as they come in, but I think that good games could be missed as they are picked up too early by the community. Those who beta test homebrew most likely have the beta tester template on their userpage, like mine. --Williamdude1 06:40, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
