IOS 254 is commonly used for various purposes:
- PatchMii uses this as a temporary IOS
- The 23 Oct updates included a copy of IOS9 as IOS254 to try to break some pirate tools, but since Nintendo are idiots, they got the wrong IOS (most pirate tools use 249).
- BootMii as an IOS is installed to this slot.
