I am still using HBC 1.0.8 since I don't like to update HBC if everything is working fine for me -- at least not until a good amount of time has passed after a new release, to make sure any potential bugs are found and fixed. Anyway, if you do any more work on this, I think a full-screen standard test pattern would be useful... (like this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Test_card ).
