::To get multiplayer skins to work, you have to download them manually and install them just like a mod. Quake can't do that automatically (except in some newer modified versions, and the server has to support it), so it's expected that you didn't see the correct skins on the server -- they are an optional download ( ). Probably the best you could do is suppress the (mostly useless) error message about missing skins, if that's the problem you saw. If you're seeing solid white monsters, that's a GL Quake issue when it encounters skins the client doesn't have. For that, you have to make Quake use the default skin when it doesn't have the desired skin, instead of a null skin. --[[User:Mr. Reaper|Mr. Reaper]] 00:30, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
