::: This has nothing to do with the HBC. What this does is replace Nintendo's NAND loader that they use in their channels with a open-source homebrew one. The NAND loader launches the channel after you press "Start" for the channel from the Wii Menu. --Vithon 17:14, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

: It looks like a software freedom tool to me. Thank you Lemon Man. Daid are you a lawyer for nintendo or something? -- Spec 16:23, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

: Well I think these days everyone around wiibrew is a piracy tool... let it to Marcan, he can distinguish between... though sometimes he makes mistakes too...

:: I'm a lawyer from nintendo that builds homebrew software, yeah, right. No, I just noticed a few keywords that I've also seen in piracy related posts/questions. So that's what made me wonder. Everything with "Loader" it in makes the anti-piracy people just a bit jumpy. I understand what it does now. Pretty nifty. I should be a bit less paranoid I guess, but looks like I'm not the only paranoid around here. --Daid 23:33, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

::: My point is: let nintendo lawyers do their job. Obviously with SM 4.2 they think everything on this site can be legally deleted off of peoples' wiis, so I don't see why anyone here would care to help them do that... -- Spec 23:54, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

:: Ok it supports the not module based IOS. But i meant the new IOS versions, is this compatible with a fully updated Wii? (Once you managed somehow to replace the nand loader of course) --WiiPower 18:15, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

::: If you manage to replace the loader then I see no reason why it shouldn't work with any IOS versions. It does not special compared to WiiLoad or anything, it just loads an executable from NAND and boots it. Only thing special about it is that it gets started by Nintendo software and that it starts Nintendo software. I don't think the sysmenu has any signature checks on run, only on install. And whatever gets started surely doesn't check what it gets started by (it has no reason not to trust it's initiator). Of course I could be wrong here. --Daid 23:39, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Date Bug?
 +
This will be very handy thank you!  Looking at the source it does not seem to include the date bug fix included in triiforce.  This isn't needed for most channels, but would be handy in WiiFit etc.:
 +
#include <ogc/lwp_watchdog.h>
 +
settime(secs_to_ticks(time(NULL) - 946684800));
 +
Apologies if I'm wrong, I'm at work and can't test it until later.--Wilsoff 00:28, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

why?
hi, i was just wondering, is there a real "goal" with this? or any reason this nandloader is better then nintendos? or were you just wanting to make an open source alternative? also, was wondering what the Ram patching engine does. thanks --Hatredg0d 03:25, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

: I created this mainly for playing VC games at 60Hz, but also because open source stuff rocks. --The Lemon Man 10:40, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

:: So, this does actually work in forcing PAL VC games into 60hz? If it does, then I'll most certainly try to work out how to build/install it :) MasterGH 12:43, 23 October 2009 (UTC)

getting it to work with homebrew
 +
I have been trying to get this to work with Wii2600.  I put the homebrew dol as 01.app, and Taiko at 02.app and all I get is a black screen and the wiimote disconnects.  I know my binary is good as it work with WiiFit.  Any ideas?  Thanks.--Wilsoff 12:00, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
