A port of DOSBox to the Wii.

Features

  • USB Keyboard and mouse support.
  • Wiimote pointer support.
  • SD/USB mounting.
  • Most DOS games are playable.

Installation

Currently you need to use SVN and compile it yourself. It requires SDL Wii. Then put it on an SD card like a normal homebrew app.

Instructions

You need a Wii Remote and a USB keyboard.

The emulator will automatically create a DOSBox folder on your SD Card and mount it as C:. Place DOS games in this folder. It will also automatically create a dosbox.conf file in that folder, which you can edit to change emulation settings.

You need to press A on the Wii Remote to start.

Type "exit" or press Ctrl+F9, or press RESET to exit.

After DOSBox finishes you need to press A to return to Homebrew Channel.

Compatability

Most games work properly now.

Issues

  • The joystick isn't working right.
  • Some games crash when exiting.
  • The welcome message had to be changed slightly due to a bug with 8-bit characters.
  • The Home button doesn't exit yet. Use RESET instead.
  • Net support has not been enabled
