A port of DOSBox to the Wii.

Features

  • USB Keyboard and mouse support.
  • Wiimote pointer support.
  • SD Cards, USB drives, and Memory Cards can be mounted.
  • Most DOS games are playable.

Installation

Currently you need to use SVN and compile it yourself. It requires SDL Wii. Then put it on an SD card like a normal homebrew app.

Instructions

You need a Wii Remote and a USB keyboard.

The emulator will automatically create a DOSBox folder on your SD Card and mount it as C:. Place DOS games in this folder. It will also automatically create a dosbox.conf file in that folder, which you can edit to change emulation settings.

You need to press A on the Wii Remote to start.

Type "exit" or press Ctrl+F9, or press RESET to exit.

After DOSBox finishes you need to press A to return to Homebrew Channel.

Compatability

Most games work properly now.

Issues

The joystick isn't working right. Some games crash when exiting. The welcome message had to be changed slightly due to a bug with 8-bit characters. The Home button doesn't exit yet. Use RESET instead.
