==Found (part of?) the problem==
Hello everyone, I have done a few hours of testing and monitoring, and discovered that at least in my case, all my connection problems are due to the SSID beacon interval being too high. Unfortunately my router does not allow me to change this setting as far as I know, so I have no way to lower it. I have made several connections to unprotected neighbors' wifi - with lower SSID beacon intervals - and connections to those are successful all the time. It seems homebrew scans for networks for a shorter amount of time than official Nintendo software, which explains why those have less problems finding my network. Perhaps it is possible to let homebrew scan for SSID's for a longer period of time, so as to eliminate this issue? [[User:Thulinma|Thulinma]] 14:56, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
Maybe use installation CD that came with router? That's what I do. Worse comes to worst, use downloaded CD for that router.--[[User:Retrotails|retrotails]] 04:53, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
