I'm starting to think that this is a legal change and not an addition to the software. Because they have always had the ability to update the content of the Wii automatically without the intervention of the End User (E.G The News Channel). So this it is very likely they are most likely going to force everyone who has not updated their Wii to the most recent System Menu to do so.
