== UPDATE (Access Denied): ==
As of October 23rd, 2008 access to the Wii Shop using a PC and a web browser has been locked down. Nintendo moved away from '''oss.shop.wii.com''' (requiring only that you accept the Server Certificate) to '''oss-auth.shop.wii.com''' (e.g. https://oss-auth.shop.wii.com/oss/serv/W_01.jsp for the main WiiShop page; you are required to prove your identity with a client-side certificate, also note the new URL structure). You can no longer access the WiiShop from a browser without the required Client Certificate installed in your web browser. Oh, and not that it really matters anymore, but the User Agent is "Opera/9.30 (Nintendo Wii; U; ; 2071; Wii Shop Channel/13.0(A); en)". That is all. - roto [mozy.org/wii]

Start up Mozilla Firefox and navigate to the address "about:config".

Right click, and choose New->String.

Type "general.user.override" in the first box and press enter ("general.useragent.override" in Firefox 1.5.0.9).

Then "Opera/9.30 (Nintendo Wii; U; ; 2047-7; Wii Shop Channel/1.1; en)" in the second box. [[user agents]] (Updated 20/5/2008 by ppkhoa)

URLs above have been updated, to reflect the changes nintendo have made. Nintendo's Wii shop channel is now insisting on an https:// connection for normal browsing.

These are the URLs to access news and weather data files:
This is a Switch title, and it doesn't show its name but it shows its title ID, it would show nothing if it didn't exist, so it exists.

1. https://oss-auth.shop.wii.com/oss/serv/index.jsp

2. https://oss-auth.shop.wii.com/oss/serv/CheckRegistered.jsp

3. https://oss-auth.shop.wii.com/oss/serv/Register.jsp?country=US&region=2&language=en&age=&serial=

Then try to go to https://oss-auth.shop.wii.com/oss/serv/W_01.jsp?country=US&region=2&language=en&age=&serial= and it should work
