Suggested additions

Homebrew Browser

Reasoning: Because it's a major convenience and has contributed greatly to the Wii Homebrew scene. -- MetaFight 18:17, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

Giddy 3

Reasoning: It's one of very few platform game here on WiiBrew. It's also one of few completed games. -- MetaFight 15:38, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

Wii Quizz

Reasoning: Wii Quizz is the better homebrew in the "Trivia" categorie. There is more download (on Homebrew Browser, on my website, on other websites), more languages, more functions, more questions, etc... Wii Quizz is in constant development ! --CashMan 15:45, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

WiiEarth

Reasoning: One of the most polished, and impressive pieces of Wii homebrew to date. --Xeron 20:02, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

General Discussion

How to proceed to have an application in the categorie with "the new system" ? --CashMan 18:46, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

Who decides what goes in here? --Xeron 10:14, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

I think it should be discussed on this page, actually. If you think an app deserves attention then bring it up. People will either agree or contest and after some discussion the decision will hopefully be obvious. I'll start the suggestion section now. -- MetaFight 02:14, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

On a separate note, this page looks really good! And I'm not only saying that because on my apps got there (but that didn't hurt). Thanks for putting me up here too. -- MetaFight 02:14, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

FYI: He worked on it. --ExtremsAlt 02:50, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

At the risk of blowing my own trumpet, I do feel that Giddy 3 is one of the more polished homebrew games and deserves a place here. --Xeron 08:24, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

Well, if cashman can go ahead and add his own project, so can I. --Xeron 14:53, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
I'm not sure that's a good enough reason. I'm starting to think it would be best to clear the entire list (except for the HBC). We could then use this page to discuss ever addition. I also think authors shouldn't be able to nominate their own apps... but that may be too strict a rule. -- MetaFight 15:21, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
The whole point of "featured homebrew" is to highlight the good stuff. If anyone can edit the page, people will just shove their own projects in, whether they're good or not. Which is why I didn't just stick Giddy in there right away. However, if Cashman can put his quiz in there, i'm sure as hell going to stick Giddy in, discussion or not. --Xeron 15:25, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
Sorry for Wii Quizz but there is no rules to add homebrews. There is many downloads of Wii Quizz on Homebrew Browser, on my website and on other websites. So, I think many users likes Wii Quizz. --CashMan 15:28, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
I'm not saying Wii Quizz isn't good :-) My point is that since you added your own project, i'm not going to wait for mine to be approved either. --Xeron 15:29, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
Me, i've added my game because there is no rules. But, in my categorie "Trivia" (with BibleQuiz and MadQuiz), Wii Quizz has more downloads, more languages, more questions, more functions. So, sorry but I did not know if it was required to say on this page. --CashMan 15:32, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
Maybe I should be clearer... I'm not saying Wii Quizz should be removed (i've never tried it, its probably great), or that you really did anything wrong. I was waiting to to see if people agreed that Giddy was "good enough", but since you added Wii Quizz, I decided to stop waiting. The issue is more about whether there should be rules or not. --Xeron 15:35, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
I think featured homebrew is a good addition to Wiibrew but I also think we can't missuse it by always adding our own homebrew in it. After a while, everybody will do this and then the bad things keep on popping up. We may can make a contest of wich homebrew their will be put in to? GabberNL 15:37, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
I'm of the mind to consider undiscussed additions as vandalism. It is common in wikis to simply remove vandalism and, as such, I'm sure these undiscussed additions will be removed once the confusion is gone. I tend to agree with you that Giddy is a polished game. Although I'm not too keen on ports myself, I have enjoyed Giddy and so I will nominate it. You could be the first to be added to this page through mature discussion! -- MetaFight 15:37, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
Giddy is not "just a port". It is an entirely seperate code base to the SDL version, and uses libogc and GX directly (not SDL). I put a LOT of extra work and testing into the Wii version, and it is easily the best version of Giddy 3. --Xeron 15:43, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

Who is responsible for not having Portii on this page? --Pinecone 11:29, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

Everyone is. Nobody has suggested its addition, so it hasn't be discussed yet. I can understand why some people like it, but it didn't blow my mind when I played it. I think there are more influential apps to display. Remember though, I'm just one person with one opinion. If you argue a good case, or if enough people agree with you, then I think that's a good reason to add it to the page. -- MetaFight
