Redundant Information
This page contains mostly redundant information, most of the process and description is directly copied from the Twilight Hack page. I think it is actually not needed as a guide, the Twilight Hack and the Homebrew Channel page describe the method quite extensively. --Drmr 15:17, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Help Me- At my wii the hack doesn't work!
I don't why, but help me please. At the Save Data-Menue i don't see the hack save data. Whether i use beta1 or beta2. I call like a noob, i want to develop to the wii. Thank you very much.
Boot.elf never loads... what do I do?
I get to step 2.4 Part 3: Setting up your Wii, then step #4- Insert your SD card into the slot found in the front of your Wii console
It says that boot.elf is supposed to appear yet it does not! I'm sure that I formatted the SD card correctly as FAT and copied the file from the HackMii Installer v0.6. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

auto update ?
hello, something is not clear and not described in this page http://hbc.hackmii.com/ how can we update to lastest 1.0.3 without internet on the wii ? even in download section, that's an old version (I use the zelda hack, yes I bought the game for that!) Detailed tutorial merged to replace bannerbomb

Update tut to fit HackMii beta 3
In section SD card setup 2 the tutorial says this:
- 3. Copy only the "installer.elf" file to the root of your SD card **see notes (See Picture 3 "copyinstaller.jpg")
- 4. Go to your SD card window and rename "installer.elf" to "boot.elf" (See Picture 4 "renameinstaller.jpg")
In the beta 3 version of HackMii, "installer.elf" is already called "boot.elf", so this might be a little confusing. Also, I think in some places the tutorial might have been made clearer; do I have green light to try and edit it a bit to make it clearer? I won't change any actual content. Wavebird wireless controller
Now that Wavebird wireless is supported in hackmii installer, does this mean that the information in the troubleshooting section about holding all unused buttons down is outdated? i do not own one, so i cant s test this.--Hatredg0d 23:03, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Wiimote Stopped working after install
Hey guys, After installing Bootmii, Homebrew, and followed the tutorial to the letter (I have an early version of the Wii, so I did the boot2. Except for when it said after installing bootmi boot2 it asked again, so I complied. Now I reset it after putting on the apps folder. and the Wii mote does the little blinky thing and then doesn't work. Needs update

uninstalling homebrew?

problem
Well i am trying to use bannerbomb to put homebrew channel on my 4.2 wii. So far it has not worked. when i try a version of bannerbomb for 4.2 it will find the channel on the wii but it does nothing. i click on the channel and it says "this channel cannot be loaded on the wii console" As far a i can tell this has not happened before and there is nothing referencing it on this page or on bannerbomb's. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aerodynamite22 (talk • contribs) 22:27, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
Bootmii should not be included in the "default" instructions here
If some new user comes along and wants to install homebrew on their wii, they are just going to go down the list and install everything it says here. But should new users be messing with Bootmii? All they are wanting is probably the Homebrew channel, and maybe divx. But the instructions just go right from "3. install homebrew channel" to "4. install divx" and then "5. install bootmii," and those are all steps listed under "Part 4: Installing the Homebrew Channel," making it look like all these steps are needed to set up homebrew. Both those latter choices should have separate sections, like "if you want to be able to watch DVDs on your wii using programs such as (links to dvd programs), then you should also install DivX. To do that...." And "if you want to use advanced features such as (whatever), you may want to install Bootmii (warning: this is for advanced users only)." --Mr. Reaper 22:16, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
bare mimimum
after installing the homebrew channel, what is the bare minimum that i need on my SD card for homebrew to function? i have a bunch of .bin files among other things that are cluttering my root and i want to know what i can get rid of. tell me if you need a list of what i have. --Ashfire 17:56, 1 July 2010
