Usage

Get a RPG Maker 2000/2003 game and place it in a direct subdirectory of the Player (boot.dol). After starting the Player a game browser will launch and you can pick the game. Valid games have the files "RPG_RT.ldb" and "RPG_RT.lmt".

You can also launch Player in standalone mode by placing the game directly in the Player directory.

Bugs

If you encounter problems test if they also occur in the official supported (Windows, Linux or macOS) versions first! In the current state the compatibility is quite good but don't expect that all games work. The Player is quite demanding and the Wii is not the most powerful hardware. :)

The program fails to start in 50 Hz mode, use 60 Hz mode until this is resolved.

You can report bugs in the Issue tracker. Please check if the bug is resolved in the latest nightly build before reporting.

Download

Check out the Download section of the EasyRPG website for all supported (and contributed) builds.

Downloads for the latest stable version and for the latest nightly build are provided. Nightly builds are the newest builds representing the current development state but they can be unusable and not recommended for general use (try them when a game fails with the stable version).

A new version for the Wii (and other platforms) is automatically compiled when a new commit is pushed to the Github repository.
