Initially distributed with the NTSC release of Animal Crossing: City Folk, this IOS is rumored to have functions used by the Wii Speak peripheral. Along with IOS55, it is required - and installed - by the official Nintendo Wii Speak Channel.[check]

Like IOS37, IOS55 has a USB_HID module instead of a KBD module.
