Add Password to Repos
Maybe there should be a tab for System Tools like Deleter, StarPatch (all versions), Changer, etc... With a warning when accesing it. Wiiman1 (talk 03:44, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

:: It won't have a password, it will just be another repo. If you would like I can assist anyone who wants to get this sort of repo out, you will need your own website though. --Teknecal 08:50, 12 October 2009 (UTC)

::: My repo now contains several of these apps. It also has a cool website. :P - will probably be made opensource. If I've violated the license of any of the app owners, please let me know on my talk page. --Lukegb 03:39, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

Okay, could you add a setting:
 +
Set Repo Password (So you can set a password if someone trys to change the default repo)
 +
 +
1. When you're setting your password it should make you enter it twice so you dont mess up.
 +
 +
2. You should be able to turn the password on/off, but to do that you have to enter the password.
 +
 +
3. To change the password you need to enter the old password then enter the new one twice. Randomdude 20:07, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

Disabling bald character option
 +
I can't think anything wrong with this app, it works like a charm, however I find the bald d-pad facec a little out the place, I don't know, there's a possibility to make an option to disable this character?, the menu is pretty customizable right now, so I though this could be easy. === hbb stats page ===

Would it be possible to add a table that shows ranks based upon the last 7 or perhaps 30 days of downloads please?  It'll be very hard for a new app to get to the top of the "all time list."

Could you add the newest version of WiiLinux White. I know you said it was too large, but I think it should be added--Calthephenom 19:58, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

: It is still too large, however anyone hosting their own repository could do this. --Teknecal 00:44, 8 August 2010 (UTC)

Dead Repo Equals Dead HBB
 +
Everytime i try to load Homebrew Browser on lukegb's repo it gets all the way to retrieving homebrew list but it keeps failing to retrieve the list and then it takes me to the Homebrew Channel. Randomdude 02:13, 30 June 2010 (UTC)

Everytime I start the program, I get at least one "Requesting Homebrew List... Failed to receive homebrew list.", but the program usually gets it and works. Recently, however, the program has failed a number of times, and then says it will return to the HBC, but never does. It simply freezes and locks up on the black screen. Please fix the program. : I think my server has asploded. My repo is no longer up for the moment, but should remain in the HBB list. Will fix, ASAP. --Lukegb 00:54, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

I decided to poke around through the other repos, and it seems that the Moddingstudio repo is down or not cooperating right now, similar to the problems people were having recently when Lukegb's repo was down. In other words, the problem isn't Lukegb's repo (thanks, btw, for your work) but that HBB can't recover from being unable to find its repo. I did however find a manual fix (other than waiting for the repo to come back up)! Do this:
 +
:# Open up sd:/apps/homebrew_browser/settings.xml in a text editor (either use a homebrew app or put the SD card in your computer and open it there)
 +
:# Change the value of setting_repo to "0" and save the file (this is the default HBB repo)
 +
:# Enjoy the HBB, unless the main repo is down
 +
 +
(I also renamed this section because the bug is not Lukegb's repo being down but how the HBB handles a dead repo. I hope nobody minded.)

:: You are correct in editing the settings.xml file, the other way is to keep pressing the 2 button on the Wiimote at start up, it should say "Reverting to CodeMii Repo", I'll add this to the text when HBB is starting up with a custom repo so users can know this more easily in the next version. --Teknecal 12:18, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

::: I didn't know that option existed, but I like it. Thanks for your hard work, Teknecal! Orison 12:26, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Homebrew Browser Problem
 +
I just recently updated my wii to the latest system menu, 4.3. I successfully installed the Homebrew Channel via Smash Stack. When I tried to install the Homebrew Browser, the app strangely did not appear.  I followed the instructions posted on the WiiBrew website on how to install the Homebrew Browser. That did not work. If anybody can help me with this problem, I would surely appreciate it.--Jrubio 01:06, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

: Can you check your SD/USB device to see if you have the "homebrew_browser" folder in a folder called "apps" on the root of the device? Does the "homebrew_browser" folder also have a boot.dol file? Another thing to do is a chkdsk /r and/or format your SD/USB device then give it another go. --Teknecal 01:25, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
