Boot1c is a notable version of boot1 found on most Wii’s made after 2008 (no solid date is known).
It has the strncmp bug patched in the boot1 assembly code which will prevent a Bootmii-boot2 install. Since boot1 cannot be modified after the Wii has booted once, this bug is still present on Wii’s made before early 2008.
