Now that I think about it, the factory discs must've had their own update partition ID; 0000dead comes before all the update stuff on bushing's Wii, and 0000 comes before all the updates on RVL-101, so that's probably the update partition of those. I don't have an explanation for why the disc is called "dead" though.
