Have you considered using the x desktop environment (ala xubuntu)? Its geared towards lower system requirements and might run faster on the wii. Also, if your looking to exchange code back and forth, I'm pretty sure there was a (recified) leak that showed xfce linux was using that desktop environment. I personally think it looks clunky (and bad) on a pc, but large buttons might be well suited for an environment in which many might choose to use the wiimote as their primary pointer device.

You could easily work with me, or me work with you if you do in the end choose to make your own, I just don't see a point in starting "from the ground up" (I assume you mean rewriting drivers inclusive) just to have a slightly differently-angled distro. Help

I am definitely willing to help out, once the first version of Miight is out. I for one am very interested in Android.

However, doesn't Android just use the standard Linux kernel? If so, you won't need to write most of the device drivers, they are already there! (We can use the BootIt kernel).

Running homebrew/games would be quite hard, because the homebrew/games aren't designed to run on an OS, they assume they have direct hardware access. Therefore, we would be having the same problems that caused Windows to be crap when it still had native DOS compatibility. Muzer 16:47, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
