Some Songs won't play

Some songs that I have tested don't play MiniMP3 player just sits there for 4 minutes. Is there a limit on how big songs can be?

Resolved: Invalid Archive? (No, it's fine.)

My attempts to open the .tgz file generally fail. I'm able to open .tgz files, so I'm curious why this one isn't working... at least for me. Any thoughts? GespenstM

It is fine using 7-zip. Ideally, authors should be releasing homebrew inside a zip file with the xml and icon though. Felix123 04:41, 4 June 2008 (PDT)

- That would explain it. Well, guess it's a good excuse as any to see if Wine (in Linux) can run 7zip, since the packages I picked up for it natively aren't quite working. Thanks for letting me know about that, Felix123. GespenstM

-- You can use <a href="http://www.rarsoft.com/rar/wrar38b1.exe">Winrar</a> to open .tgz files. Winrar can open up a lot of compressed formats, it is freeware, (it says it isnt but it is) and is a very useful program.

--- That did it. I was surprised to see this one not work when other .tgzs have worked fine, but using WinRAR via Wine seems to work well enough. I figure my confusion was understandable due to that, but in any case I've renamed the topic to make it more clear this was on my end, not the author's distribution itself being the issue. GespenstM

--- Erm, it seems to me that "unrar" via command line works on this file. It should have the extension changed to .rar, as it doesn't seem to be a tar or gzip file. Output proof:

xero@xero-beast:/tmp$ unrar x MiniMP3.tgz

UNRAR 3.71 beta 1 freeware Copyright (c) 1993-2007 Alexander Roshal

Black Screen

I sent the ELF to the Wii using the TCPLoader Windows Client and all I got was a black screen. --Navarr 08:23, 4 June 2008 (PDT)

Seems to work fine for me, did you make sure to have atleast 1 .mp3 file in your mp3 directory? If not then nothing will appear. A little review: Return to loader=Yes Stop\pause a song? = no (atleast don't think so) Change\choosing songs = yes Controls: + Button on wii remote = Play song Up\down arrows on wii remote = Select song I see that you can not do anything once you have started playing a song, you must wait for the song to finish before returning to the menu or moving the selection of what song you want to listen too. Very good program i like it so far, but yes it can be updated a lot.

Long File Names

I tried to load an mp3 with a long file name and it didn't work. I went on my computer and renamed and it fixed it. I don't remember how long it was but it was probably over 50 characters long. danny37415

Your point being? Pertmywert 08:54, 7 June 2008 (CEST)
My point being if someone has a problem with not being able to load a song because it has a long file name, and they didn't know what was wrong, this might be the answer. danny37415

Any chance of a directory browser in the future?

I only ask because I use the same SD card for my wii as I use for my phone, and all my mp3s have to be in seperate dirs under "Music" for my phone to recognise them.

I'm checking out the source code right now! So we'll see....

Support for PAL60?

Can we please have a PAL60 support in the next version? Xyrion 16:39, 24 June 2008 (CEST)
