Should this page remain?

It was recreated after Marcan deleted it. I contacted him and he said we should wait until Comex chooses to post it on the wiki. If this page isnt supposed to be here, dont blame me, I just updated it :P Beegee7730 10:18, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

I talked to comex and he doesn't mind, he just cant be assed to learn wiki markup to do it himself. what he does mind is idiots using this in conjunction with notdvdx to brick themselves (like trying to downgrade a LU64 wii, these have new hardware that wont work with old IOSs or so I'm told) Yossi 10:32, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

Shouldnt this be added to the news then? Beegee7730 10:39, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

Thanks comex

this is so easy to use! 3.1e + 1F --Wilsoff 21:54, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

OWNT

Why do i want to shout OWNED and point at nintendo firmware makers? :) Anyway, how stable it is?Is it more dangerous than the Twilight Hack?Thank you. LuciusMare 09:26, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

My guess is that bannerbomb is much more stable than the TP Hack because i used it and it worked like a charm. (i used TP Hack on 3.4 and was a pain to get working) --Flyguy 23:16, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

Lesser used Bannerbomb files

I've also mirrored the complete list of v108 including "...others?" here - http://www.fathertom.net/hardwii/bannerbomb/v108/ Ften 16:08, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

Add info about brick possibility...

For some reason, everyone thinks that bannerbomb can brick your wii just by running it. It doesnt change the NAND whatsoever. So i was thinking someone might want to mention this on the page maybe?--ChuckBartowski 23:14, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

Wait, so are we going to add anti-warnings to every other page, too? :( -- Bushing 20:29, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Big bold waring ON TOP OF THE PAGE

My Wii got bricked, and I had no idea that it would brick it! Why was there no warnig, and futhermore WHY THE HELL DO PEOPLE RELEASE POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS SOFTWARE WITHOUT THROUGH TESTING? Mattwo 06:01, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

I reverted your edit, if the page did need to be edited to show it then you should have added the 'Modifies NAND' tag. but u should talk about it here first and get some evidence, most people who use it have no problems, you probably did something wrong and/or it conflicted with some other hacks because this is pretty safe. --Futurechromex3x 06:49, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Well I left my wii on and it suddenly started responding again but the file wasn't in the SD memory thing after that despite still being on the SD card...seems the wii packs a failsafe o.o Mattwo 00:42, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
On second note My wii has started overheating very badly....Mattwo 00:53, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
And wow do I feel like a dunce, I had unplugged the wrong cord in an attempt to power off my wii.. Mattwo 10:58, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
Do they let you out of your house alone? Yossi 22:06, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Updates for Bannerbomb to work with System Menu 4.2

I did a pretty stupid thing. I wake up, see my Wii glow blue, check my messages and see that it was a 4.2 update. Now thinking that Bannerbomb would work wit it, seeing it clearing says about Bannerbomb working for System Menu 4.0 and newer. Turns out, it deletes the HBC. Seeing that my Brawl no longer works or that I don't have Indiana Jones, I was wondering if you guys would possibly update Bannerbomb so that it could work on 4.2. All those months of Homebrew and watching Youtube vids on MPlayer CE paid off.... Thanks --RPD490 15:49, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

Impossible, Nintendo have fixed the bug behind bannerbomb (probably). I doubt much effort will be made for bannerbomb, considering there are TWO alternate exploits. But I doubt it would be possible to get it to work again, as my guess is that Nintendo have improved the banner handling code which was exploited. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SifJar (talkcontribs) 17:12, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
"the “fix” for bannerbomb is retarded, new version tomorrow hopefully" -comex // Sep 29, 2009 at 7:14 pm. LoganA (talkcontribs) 15:22, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
I take back my comment, sorry. I guess it wont be hard to fix after all. I should have guessed that knowing Nintendo, the fix would be half-assed. I mean, it took them about 4 updates to beat Twilight Hack. --SifJar 18:01, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

Rumors that scared me.

I heard a rumor that Nintendo or some "unknown force" will brick your Wii upon the next update or something. I haven't updated yet. However, I'm considering it, due to a few WiiWare titles I plan to buy, and yada yada.

Anyway, I really want to play WiiWare, but if Nintendo will really go to such lengths of douchebaggery to even brick the console, then I'm considering unhacking my wii.

In a nutshell, in case of TL;DR: I may want to unhack my wii (remove bannerbomb). Is there anyway to do this? For example, converting to an old firmware or something?--Namo 01:23, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
